Breanna Suarez is a Puerto Rican-Italian-American theatre artist, educator, director, and vocal coach dedicated to storytelling, arts education, and empowering the next generation of performers. Originally from Miami, Florida, Breanna has had “theatre bug” since birth, developing a lifelong passion for performance and the arts that has shaped her career.
After serving as a High School International Thespian President, Breanna received a full scholarship to Davidson College through the Posse Scholarship, along with the Rupert T. Barber Theatre Scholarship and the Bonner Scholarship. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with a concentration in Theatre Education and a minor in Theatre. During her time at Davidson, Breanna discovered her love for teaching and directing, and expanded her artistry beyond performance by founding her own theatre company on campus, where she gained hands-on experience in producing and collaborative creation.
Breanna is an experienced performer whose credits include leading roles such as Veronica Sawyer in Heathers, Mimi Marquez in Rent, Carrie White in Carrie: The Musical, and Dee Dee Allen in The Prom. Her performance work spans multiple companies, including Davidson Community Players, Davidson College, and Post Mortem Players, highlighting her versatility across contemporary and classical repertoire.
Breanna is a director and choreographer whose work centers on bold, character-driven storytelling and dynamic ensemble movement. With experience spanning educational theatre, community theatre, and youth performance programs, she has directed and choreographed a wide range of productions—from large-scale musicals like Into the Woods Jr., Shrek Jr., The Spongebob Musical and Imaginary. Her directing approach prioritizes storytelling through physicality, helping performers fully embody their characters while building cohesive, expressive ensembles.
Breanna’s artistic approach blends strong technical training with an emphasis on play, creativity, and authenticity. Whether she is on stage, in the classroom, or in the rehearsal room, she is committed to using theatre as a tool for empowerment, connection, and meaningful storytelling. Breanna is extatic to join the Savannah and Richmond Hill community and is looking forward to creating more art.
